Platinum Corral was founded in 1996 as a multi-unit franchise operator of Golden Corral Grill/Buffet Restaurants. It has become one of the largest, most progressive and fastest growing operations in the system with units in Burlington , Hickory , Reidsville , Eden , Lexington , Cary , Concord , Wilmington , Asheboro , Southport , Raleigh , Jackson ville , Durham , and a location under development in Wake Forest , North Carolina .

We are grounded upon the bedrock of Golden Corral Corporation and its Vision of being the “leading restaurant system” by making “Pleasurable Dining Affordable”. Platinum Corral has accelerated that vision with determined focus on operations, steely attention to detail plus compassionate care and concern for our Co-Worker and Management Team. We’ve been praised nationally for our efforts in employee recognition and retention with the “People and Performance Award” through the Nations Restaurant News. Platinum Corral has also been twice awarded the Golden Corral Corporate “Caring Corral Culture” award for being an example of how to care for and retain our employees. In 2003, North Carolina Restaurant Association and the National Restaurant Association honored Platinum Corral with the Good Neighbor Award for exceptional efforts to involve each unit in the community and additional efforts with schools and our Military Appreciation Night.

Being driven to be the most highly regarded operator in the Golden Corral System we all work hard to consistently produce the highest sales growth and the lowest possible controllable costs. Leading this effort is Platinum Corral’s President and CEO, Billy Sewell who also sits on the North Carolina Restaurant Association’s board, is currently serving third term as Chair of the Golden Corral Franchise Advisory Committee and was recently awarded for the third year in a row the Triangle’s Business Journal’s award for accelerated growth of a new business with it’s “Fast 50” recognition. In 2005 Billy was a finalist nominated by the North Carolina Restaurant Association for Restaurateur of the Year. He and the rest of our great management team never stop striving to improve.
